I went out last night and caught up with some friends, had some drinks, and went to bed. In the morning, I was struggling with getting going but forced myself to get out of bed and go for a run. Halfway through the run, I was feeling excellent and no longer tired. I finished up my 30 minute run around Mt. Tabor, showered up, and biked the twenty minutes into work. I can easily say that I feel like I have a ton of energy, and am looking forward to the day to come.
I don’t know about you, but when I feel I have a million things to do, or am feeling exhausted, I do some exercise and it seems to wash it all away.
Once I accomplish a morning run, going to a session of yoga, or lifting weights at the gym, I have just accomplished a daunting task that gives me quite the high through the rest of the day. Already, my body is moving around, activated, and benefiting from the movement. To be honest, it doesn’t really matter what else I do that day usually because I’ve already done something great for me.
If you constantly wake up feeling terrible, I recommend taking 20-30 minutes to do some exercise. It’s amazing how much better you will feel (as long as you don’t break yourself in the process).
For the last couple months, I’ve tried to do some form of exercise every other day. Whether that be running, lifting, walking or perhaps even yoga. I do this in the morning, because of the boost of energy I get from starting the day off right.
Let me know in the comments if you feel the same way I do. And if you’re new to working out to get your day going, let me know how it goes!
