  - IcelandThis country is breathtakingly beautiful. I drove around the entire country from Reykjavik, around the Golden Circle, and continuing onto the Ring Road. My favorite sections were the South West, the South and the East. 1600+ miles of driving, 100+ miles of hiking, dozens of waterfalls, many hot springs, and very friendly people. Everything is pretty expensive there, but other than that, it is by far one of my favorites.

      - SayulitaThe last time I went to Sayulita was during a five-day trip at the end of January 2020 for my girlfriend’s 29th birthday surprise. It was epic for the short time we were there. It is definitely a town that I could get behind as it is very festive. The next time I have planned to go to Sayulita is early January of 2021 for an entire month. Funny enough, the last time I was in a commercial airport was that trip I mentioned above. I’ve never gone an entire year only stepping into a commercial airport once. Oh, PDX airport, and flying around in general, how I miss thee!!

I came here for the TBEX conference and was surprised with how wonderful this little town is in the Finger Lakes area – a much-desired change to the “Big City.”.

  - ChileMy time in Chile was spent enjoying walking around Santiago, enjoying the beaches/nightlife/new years in Valparaiso, to getting as far south as I’ve ever been to enjoy the gorgeous views of Patagonia. Enjoyed a four day backpacking trip around the W of Torres Del Paine. Very friendly locals, good exchange rate from the US, and delicious wine and coffee everywhere I went. My first experience of South America and I was blown away by how great it was. Would go back again in a heart beat.

Finished Up Thailand

I’ve finally departed Thailand after three awesome weeks. I arrived the 4th of November and am excited to what I’ve got coming next – Singapore.

Thailand finished up well with spending some excellent time in Koh Lanta where I did more diving and saw some Seattle friends I’ve met in the way. Had a great could nights in Koh Phi Phi meeting up with my new Dutch friends and visiting the location where “The Beach” was filmed which included some good snorkeling. Finally finishing up Thailand in Phuket. Definitely not my favorite place in Thailand, but aside from the dirty streets, way too busy beaches, and working girls all over, it had it’s own bit of charm I enjoyed. I had a fantastic time staying up late discussing books and movies with a middle aged English fella and a guy from Colorado just younger than myself.

Thailand will definitely be a future destination for myself. It was beautiful. Even on the rainy days. I met a number of awesome people and the price was stellar. I definitely recommend everyone to go to Thailand!

Now let’s see what trouble I can get into during my 23 hours in Singapore!
