This weekend, Ixa turned a year older and to celebrate I took her hiking up Dog Mountain with Ilona, Ryan, his wife and their dog. Ixa is a strong 75 pound pup and even though she was worn out as much as I was when we finished, she was a trooper and kept us going.

New Orleans Jazz Fest 2015
I’ve heard many great things about New Orleans, and have wanted to go for some time, so when my friend Kelly mentioned a couple weeks back at a party that he was going there for Jazz Fest, the want was written on my face. He soon asked if I’d want to join him and some… Continue reading New Orleans Jazz Fest 2015
First Trip To Maui
Went to the island of Maui in Hawaii for this first time a week and some ago, this is what I recall.

This last weekend I went to one of the best bachelor parties! My friend, Devin, also my roommate Lewis’ soon to be brother in law is getting married in just over a month and this weekend we made it to Colorado to go skiing/boarding at Breckenridge in the Rocky Mountains.
Holidays in Puerto Rico
This last Christmas-eve (like two weeks ago), my friend, Bobby, and I went on an adventure to Puerto RIco for Christmas and the New Years. We’ve been friends for a long time, but this was our first time traveling together outside of work, and though I wasn’t sure about how the trip would go, we… Continue reading Holidays in Puerto Rico
Burning Man 2014
Last Monday, Burning Man 2014 came to a close for me. I was sad to leave this new home of mine, but glad to get back to greener pastures (literally, it was a white desert out there and getting back to green Oregon was so great!). My experience of the event was very positive and… Continue reading Burning Man 2014
Last Leg: Seattle to Portland
Wow…it’s here. The last flight of my big trip around the South Pacific. I can’t believe it is here. It’s a bitter-sweet occasion for sure as I just want to keep traveling, but really looking forward to seeing some much missed faces.
Hawaiian Weddings
After Fiji came my return the United States of America by going through Hawaii to see Lewis (my brother/former roomy/a best friend/the man) get married to the gorgeous and wonderful Annamarie. I was so blessed to be in attendance to their wedding and especially being one of his men by his side to bring him… Continue reading Hawaiian Weddings
Fijitime: Bula!!!
Sitting here at Bamboo Travellers eating breakfast thinking about the time I’ve had in Fiji and it’s hard to put it into words. I’ve loved it here and would definitely come back again. Let me give you a run down.
New Zealand: 12 Days In
It’s 9am and I’m sitting at a park table next to the van that I’ve been riding in the last 12 days and I’ve realized that I haven’t been able to post anything until now. Internet in New Zealand isn’t just hard to come by, but it is expensive, so sorry VicLiv, you’ve had to… Continue reading New Zealand: 12 Days In
New Zealand: Airport Sleeping
I took off from Cairns at 12pm yesterday. After two flights, I finally made it to New Zealand around 12am (no, it wasn’t 12 hours of flying). I didn’t book a place to stay as I decided to save some bucks and sleep at the airport.
Diving The Great Barrier Reef
I’m aboard a ship. The ship is called The Kangaroo Explorer. I arrived on this ship by booking a three day and two night live-aboard diving trip through Cairns Dive Centre. We set off out of Cairns on the 5th of January towards the Great Barrier Reef and by the time I post this, I’ll… Continue reading Diving The Great Barrier Reef
